Mark Saccomanno attended Baylor University where he acquired a BBA in Finance and Risk Management. Previously Mark worked in Sales and Marketing as Assistant Director of Agencies for a publicly traded Insurance Company. Later he acted as Vice President of a multi-million dollar Independent General Agency supporting insurance agents positioning insurance products in various niche markets. As one of the founding partners, he is currently the Vice President at American Incentive Advisors.
While at Baylor, Saccomanno played baseball from 1999–2003, and was selected in the 23rd round of the 2003 amateur draft by the Houston Astros, where he played 7 seasons. In 2008 he made his major league debut with Houston becoming only the 22nd player to hit a home run on their first pitch in the majors, and the first player in the history of Major League Baseball to do so as a pinch hitter.
